Business automation and custom software

If your team copies data between sheets, replies to the same messages all day or builds the same report every Monday, that work can usually be automated. I build the small, dependable systems that do it.

fig. 01A repeated task, drawn as a flow

Input, rule, record, output. Every automation is described this way before it is built.

§ 1Who it is for

Who this is for.

  • Shops, clinics, agencies and local service businesses that run on spreadsheets, calls and chat
  • Owners who want enquiries, follow-ups and reports handled consistently
  • Teams that already use tools like Google Sheets, Tally exports or an online store and need them to talk to each other

§ 2Deliverables

What you get.

  • A written scope describing exactly what will be automated and what stays manual
  • Working software or workflows, tested with your real data
  • Handover notes in plain language so you are not locked in
  • A short walkthrough call on how to use and monitor it

Typical work

Examples of the kind of work, not a list of past clients.

  • Capture website or form enquiries into a sheet or database and notify you instantly
  • Send appointment, payment or delivery updates on WhatsApp, only to people who opted in
  • Pull data from several sources into one daily or weekly report
  • Generate quotations, invoices drafts or documents from a template
  • Internal tools: simple admin panels, trackers and dashboards

§ 3How it runs

How it runs.

A decision point at every step.

  1. Short call to understand the current manual process

  2. Written scope and a fixed first milestone

  3. Build in small steps; you test each step

  4. Launch, handover, and optional support

§ 4From you

What I need from you.

A little preparation on your side makes the work faster and cheaper.

  • A walk-through of how the task is done by hand today, on a call or a screen recording
  • A few real examples, including the awkward ones (names removed if you prefer)
  • Access to the tools involved, through proper roles, not shared passwords
  • One person on your side who can say "yes, that is right" when I check a step

§ 5Cost

What it costs.

Scoped per project

There is no price list, because two businesses never need the same thing. After a short call you get a written quote within one working day: what is included, milestones, timeline and payment schedule. Nothing starts until you approve it.

§ 6Tools and limits

Tools and boundaries.

Tools I typically use

  • Python
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • SQL databases
  • REST APIs and webhooks
  • WhatsApp Business Platform (where eligible)

Not included

  • Bulk unsolicited messaging. Messages are sent only to people who opted in.
  • Anything that requires collecting card numbers or government ID numbers over chat.

§ 7Questions

Questions about this service.

Can you automate WhatsApp replies for my shop?

Yes, where the WhatsApp Business Platform allows it. Messages go only to people who have opted in, every flow has a way to stop, and a human can always take over. Meta also has to approve your business and message templates, which I can help you prepare for but cannot guarantee.

What if my process is messy?

Most are. The first step is writing the process down. Often that alone shows what to simplify before anything is automated.

Will I depend on you to keep it running?

No. You get plain-language handover notes, and the accounts stay in your name. Support is optional.

Do you build apps for customers too?

Small web apps and internal tools, yes: booking requests, trackers, dashboards. Large consumer apps are not what I do.

fig. endNext step

Tell me what is slowing the business down.

A short message is enough. I reply within one working day with honest next steps, not a sales pitch.
